- Betty’s Original Bad-Ass Scented Soy Candles.
If you are a candle junkie just like us, there is no greater find on Etsy than Ms. Betty’s Original Bad Ass Scented Soy Candles. And the reviews are there to prove it. Started in 2013 by Scott and Margi Higdon from Woodbridge, Virginia, these naturally scented soy candles were inspired by a unique birthday gift idea for their whimsical friend, Betty and so the brand was born. These humorously witty candles are the perfect gift idea and are sure to put a smile on anyone’s face – because they just are . . F’n Awesome.
Who would’ve thought that a mason jar could light up an idea? Well, Jeff and Mark, the creators behind BootsNGus certainly did when they helped light the world with the idea to use a mason jar as an incredibly unique lighting fixture. With their passion for design and collecting vintage glassware, each fixture is carefully hand crafted in their own home studio in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Ah, the power of creativity is simply found in . . a mason jar.
Pop Quiz: Name the two planets that have no moons? Yeh, we didn’t know either. But what we do know is that RobertsMaps is our next favorite find on Etsy. Robert, the owner of the shop stores an exquisite collection of archival reprints of vintage maps, city plans and nautical charts. They are both ecologically friendly and geographically enticing. Oh, and they also make for awesome wall art!
The next product on our list is anything short of extraordinary. What is round, ticks time, and spins when in motion? A clock on wheels? Well, not exactly, but a clock made out of a bicycle wheel is more like it. DreamGreatDreams’ creator, Viki, started her shop in 2013 in Beaverton, Oregon after her second grandson was diagnosed with an unfortunate illness. Inspired by her grandson and driven to help his cause, Viki set to work creating unique bicycle wall clocks, film reel and vintage camera clocks. A clock with a cause? We support it.
Our next favorite product from Etsy is minimal in design but a great way to make your home come alive. This modern planter fromObjectOrientedDesign is made from high quality materials that fit perfectly in any mid-century contemporary home. Just don’t forget to water the plants!
No, we cannot pour you a glass. That is because NewWineOldBottles is not an actual wine shop! Instead, the shop’s owner, M Jay Harrison, uses old wine bottles to recreate industrial style lamps all the way from downtown Chillicothe, Ohio. The lamps come in different shapes and sizes and are a perfect way to light up your room while you sip your glass of wine of course.
